Ok I just got a new hard drive on my Dell computer. We have these ancient speakers (UBL pro I think) and they just hook up like regular speakers and they worked when we had the other hard drive but now it says some crap about having to install them or something. No sound is coming out but the little green button on one of the speakers is on like they should work but they aren’t. I really need help. Thank you.
I suspect somebody in my family deleted the "history" file of websites visited on my computer. Also the cookies, as all my automatic passwords are gone, and the history has absolutely nothing in it.
I have a dell inspirion laptop. Can anybody tell me where else history of website browsing might be hidden that I could find?
Assume you are talking to a computer idiot (as you are <VBG>) how does one restore? I need only to go back about 12 hours.
Recently I purchased a copy of Windows 7 Professional and wanted to do a clean install of it on my HP dv5-1120us laptop. The problem is that when I purchased this laptop, everything was made for Windows Vista so the restore disks won’t be useful if clean installing. How do I get of all my software programs back and any drivers that might need to be updated?
My back light works fine while my laptop computer is starting up but turns off before I’m fully booted up and nothing I do can get it to come back on. Everything else works fine but without my back light the screen is difficult to see in the daylight. I have a Gateway laptop about 3 years old with Vista software. Can anyone help me?
Video courtesy Alyona Popova – www.youtube.com and www.alenapopova.ru While Russia’s foreign ministry has acknowledged its citizens are among the 10 who’ve been detained, it denies that anything has been done to harm US interests. One of the arrested individuals in the ‘deep cover spy ring’ case, Anna Chapman, was said to have “met with an individual purporting to be a Russian Government official in Manhattan, New York, at which she received a fraudulent passport,” according to the official criminal report. Chapman was also arrested for apparently using her laptop computer inside of a New York City coffee shop at the same time that a Russian Government official was driving by in a minivan. Moscow has already called the charges “contradictory,” and is demanding more information on the criminal proceedings from their US counterparts.
I have a iTouch, but my house doesn’t have any Wifi. But when i drive around w/ my dad, i sometimes pick up a signal and use that. But i am not out all the time and i want to be able to use Wifi at my own home. Where and how much can i find Wifi for my home?
I am thinking about possibly getting a laptop with wifi internet that I can use at home. How do I get wifi and what appliances do I have to have to get it?
A friend of mine has a Gateway computer with windows 98 on it and a HP with Windows XP on it. He has a bunch of games and stuff on the Gateway he wants to copy to the HP. The Gateway has a CD drive, but I don’t think it’s a burner. I know the HP has a CD-Writer. I’m not even sure the USB ports on the Gateway are high-speed ones. Anyone know an easy way of doing this?
I have an eMachines computer, and I need completely restore it to factory settings, but I can’t because I don’t have the disks for it. I do have restore disks for my Toshiba laptop, could I use those to restore the eMachines computer?
Well then how can I get the eMachines disks?
