I’ve successfully turned the computer onto safe mode after I put a toshiba hd into a Dell computer.
Do I put the toshiba and recovery ap disk into the computer? will it format and make it work in regular mode not safe mode ?
How do I clear the hd and make it so I can turn it on normally and use the wifi that’s already in the Dell to get on the interet w/ wifi. Wanna make sure I do it right.

I have a Dell computer with Windows 7. I have to make back up files but how can I do this on an external hard drive?
The Dell computer says I have to do it on DVDs or USB stick with 8GB, but I just bought an external hard drive. When I stick the hard dive in, the back up program says: I don’t detect USB stick.

I have a Dell Optiplex 990 and I am trying to install Linux from USB. I need to boot from USB but do not know how to setup my computer to do so. I tried rebooting and pressing Delete or F12, as suggested by many, but didn’t work. Any suggestions?

I am looking into buying a new computer and I see that Walmart is now selling Dell. I figure a Dell computer is a Dell computer but I can’t help but feel like there is a catch.

I’ve added hard drives to other computers, so I already have the jumper set. But adding in a second hard drive to this dell is proving to be quite difficult. I took out the cable that was in it and added a cable the supports 2 drives, and then I had a spare power cord in there that I connected, but nothing happened. It just froze at that beginning dell screen. How does one upgrade?
It’s Windows XP and the second HD would be around 20 gigs, just like the first.
