LOL the music. Anyways, um you only have pci slots or do you have agp and pcie?
this is an old Dell PC but it has one AGP slot for the graphic card.
Is the agp slot green?
Also, is it agpx2 or x4 or x8?
Just curious.
i’d finally got down to open the casing today.
no, the AGP slot is brown, surrounded by a green plastic clip. but i ain’t sure about the type of AGP.
That heatsink is massive!
yes, it’s huge.
I have that PC. It still is awesome! <3
this is pissin me off, i upgraded to a p4 a 2.4 ghz but the computer says that it is 1.79 ghz (according to cpu-z) any ideas?
thanks
cpu-z i not always right i hav pentium 4 and it is over clocked to 3.0 ghz and cpu-z says its 2.5 ghz wrong
when you start your PC, you may want to get into its BIOS and check out the CPU clock speed.

I have a Dell Dimension 8250, and it still runs great =)
Specs:
CPU: Pentium 4 @ 2.4GHz
RAM: 512 MB of RDRAM
Hard Drive 250 GB Western Digital Caviar
Graphics Card: XFX Geforce 6200 256 MB DDR2
it’s about 8 years old now, and it CAN run Crysis and Far Cry 2 at 20 FPS =)
ya they say the same thing
when you have over-clocked your Pentium4 and your PC works faster when you use it, that’s all you need to know.
why bother with what its system info shows?
im thinking of buying a dell dimension 8200 Hyper threatning version to replace my pentium 4 pc but im gonna use some of my old computer pieces like dvd rw,ram, and gpu
I have a Dell too, but it’s an Inspiron 1318 laptop.
I love Dell!!!
good for you!
Thank you
Hi! Perhaps anybody can upload a disk-image from the soundcard-install cd – dell version for soundblaster live!value 1024 – my disk is broken – thanks! Ps.- version 5.12.01.3511 <-print on disc
…i read here many machine-specs…here is my dim8200…it is the model ‘geForce4′ pc, bought on april 2002, 128mb geForce4-ti4600 with dvi and tv-out, 80gig west.dig.7200rpm, agp4x-slot, pci version2, 5.1 sound (disk-image WANTED!-) creativ sound blaster live! value-model ct4780,<-software: creative playCenter2 with liveWare2, firewire-pci card and softwarebundle mgi-videoWave4, mainboard chipset intel850e, 2x128mb rdram – 1793 euro
check their website, I got one of these for free and downloaded all the drivers from there after a fresh install
If its a Dimension 8200 you could have bought a P4 with the wrong FSB (533Mhz instead of 400Mhz) causing it to run slower.
Dimension 8200 has x4 AGP
why doe a dell computer have a shroud on top of the heatsink?
these old dell desktops are very reliable
